Not many people know it, but there was a time when Furmint was the main grape variety of Lake Balaton. Nowadays it is mainly associated with other wine regions, but we still think it is important to show what it can do in the Balatonfüred-Csopak wine region. We grow Furmint in the sunny Hajnóczy vineyard in Paloznak, an excellent location. In our experience, the best results are achieved by blending tank and barrel aged lots to produce a Furmint of great balance and complexity.
